2011-2012 Scholarship Information

2011 – 2012 U.A. LOCAL 290 COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP

We would first and foremost like to thank all the Local 290 members for their contributions to the Local 290 Scholarship Fund.  Because of their noteworthy contributions, 319 scholarship awards for a total amount of $578,000.00 were made available.  After review of all the applications by the U.A. Local 290 Scholarship Committee the awards are as follows; $2,000.00 for children of a current Local 290 member and $1,000.00 for grandchildren of a current Local 290 member. 

We would like to give a big round of applause for all the recipients of the 2011 - 2012 U.A. Local 290 Scholarship.  Great Job Students!

To obtain your scholarship award, please provide us with proof of your enrollment for Fall 2011 – Summer 2012 as a full-time college student to an accredited college.  Upon receipt of such proof, which can be your class schedule or invoice from the college, the funds will be forwarded directly to the school in your name. Proof of one term is all that is required.  Please make sure to include the school’s address as well as your name and student i.d. when you send proof of full time enrollment.

CALIFORNIA STATE PIPE TRADES SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS

Congratulations to Krista Beck (Robert Beck) and Karin Collins (Donald Collins), students of UA Local 290 members that were awarded a California State Pipe Trades Scholarship.
